Please join your #commUNITY in donation-based yoga, a beach cleanup, and local business raffle organized by Halle Piacente of The Salty Mermaid and sponsored by The Juice Box Rincon! We will be participating in a volunteer beach cleanup to help CONSERVE our beaches/oceans, do YOGA, have FUN, and win PRIZES! Gloves, water, and trash bags will be provided. This event is completely free.
We would like to thank all of the local businesses in Rincon that helped out with our event through donations and support! Prizes are listed below.
Where?
This cleanup will be located at the Bahía de Añasco. Take 115 going to Añasco, take a right on 401 to the Bahía de Añasco, follow that road. You will end up on a dirt road and follow that all the way to the beach. See map below.
There will be signs on nearby roads directing you to the location.
Please try to carpool.

Saturday, March 9th from 9 a.m.-12:15 p.m.

WHY?
Come see the devastation yourself. In late January, we visited this beach for the first time and had never seen so much trash and plastic on a beach. Plastic water bottles, milk jugs, six pack rings, microplastics, you name it. Check out the pictures and video at the bottom to see for yourself!
Who?
We can make a difference while having fun! Everyone is welcome, please bring friends!

Please bring a reusable water bottle to keep hydrated during the cleanup. We will have water stations for our volunteers to refill their reusable water bottles.
If you are participating in 9 am yoga, please bring a mat or towel, and an optional cash donation to benefit the Fundacion Surfrider Rincon.
Bring sunscreen and anything else you want to have on the beach!
