This class is a 45-minute, fairly continuous, Vinyasa Flow. It’s my current “go-to” morning practice when I need to get my body moving and my mind focused.
Physically, I feel like it gets into a little bit of everything, and since it is more of a continuous flow, I offer less alignment cues to give you more space to drop into a rhythm with your breath. With that being said, it may be helpful to have some knowledge of the yoga postures for this class.
But keep in mind: This class is not about moving quickly or being in a rush! We still want to cultivate some ease even during the “work” or the movement. Let this practice be more about creating a sustainable rhythm between the flow of your breath and the movements of your body. It’s very much a moving meditation! Soothing for the body and the mind.
As for props, two yoga blocks may be helpful, but not necessary, and have a towel or a blanket nearby. We’ll begin with some MFR (myofascial release) for the intercostals (between the ribs) with an option to end your practice with some MFR for the back of the head & neck (a nice one for neck tension or tension headaches).

We can come together in solidarity through our self-isolation, and I’m grateful for this wild virtual world that’s allowing us all to stay connected through these truly strange & lonesome times. Recording these yoga classes have been helping me cope with the extreme changes & challenges that I, like many, are experiencing. I’m grateful for this outlet and I’m grateful for you.
