Exactly like the title says, indulge in this 30-minute class that combines myofascial release (MFR) techniques with gentle movement & some mindful mobility work.
This practice is a nice one to do before a surf if you're feeling surfed out and sticky, or it could also be done after a surf to reduce muscle soreness and enhance recovery for the next session.
All you need for this class is a yoga block or a foam roller. If you don't have either, you could explore rolling up a thick towel or blanket and use that as a makeshift foam roller.
We'll begin with some MFR to release unnecessary tension and nourish the tissues around the neck, shoulders, lower back, and hips. Then, we'll move through a gentle yet intentional sequence to support circulation, free up any sticky spots, and capture a sense of easeful, coordinated movement through the body, breath, and mind. We'll finish seated with some breathwork and a brief visualization/meditation, so you may also want to have something comfortable to sit on.
Save to repeat and share with anyone who might enjoy it! As always, I'd love to hear your thoughts, experience, or feedback in a comment below.
A big thank you to Nemberala Beach Resort for the beautiful space to film and practice.
